| Nationwide's
£12.4m investment in additional powered access equipment
includes the purchase of 10 JLG M600 boom lifts. |
Nationwide,
the UKıs market leader in powered access equipment rental,
is iinvesting an additional £12.4 million on expanding its
hire fleet to
provide even greater availability and choice for its customers.
The
latest investment will bring nearly 500 more boom and scissor
lifts to the fleet, together with an additional 31 Skylift
truck-mounted units.
Some of the latest models available in the market place
will be amongst those joining Nationwideıs UK fleet of nearly
6,000 machines. For example, the company is buying 10 JLG
M600s - the worldıs first electric boom lift tohave a working
height of 20 metres. Also being added to the fleet are 10
M400AJP booms which feature an articulating and side-to-side
jib and are only 1.5m wide, enabling them to go through
a standard industrial doorway.
The
new Skylift units - from Bronto, GSR and Aerial - range
in size from 15m to 62m and include eight models mounted
on MAN and Unimog chassis which are designed to handle the
roughest of terrains.
Targeted at the telecommunications industry and other sectors
where installations are required in fields or on other rough
ground, the specially-adapted Skylifts are fitted with self-recovery
winches and semi-automatic deflating and inflating tyres.
