Nationwide
Access, the UKšs leading supplier of powered access equipment
for hire, recently reached a new milestone in their depot
expansion programme when they opened their 50th UK depot.
The latest depot - in Lancaster Road Business Park, Shrewsbury
- has a fleet of 40 powered access scissor and boom lifts
and will offer full hire, sales and service facilities.
When
Nationwide Access were acquired by Lavendon Group plc in
December 1992, there were only seven depots in the network.
Lavendon launched a sustained programme of new depot openings
which included the first Scottish depot - at Hamilton -
being opened in 1995 and the first Irish depot coming on
line in Belfast at the end of last year.
Nationwide
now have about 5,000 machines in their UK fleet and a customer
base of over 8,500 accounts.
