Nationwide, the UK's market leader in powered access equipment rental, is taking a stand for the first time at the Offshore Europe Exhibition in September to further develop its business in this sector.

The Nationwide boom in our photograph is pictured carrying out maintenance work on a land rig at Weatherford's training and development site in Aberdeen, and other Nationwide access platforms are being used off shore ­ for example a bi-fuel boom is operating on the Ocean Nomad platform.

Booms and scissor lifts of the type supplied by Nationwide are the Health and Safety Executive's preferred method of working at height. All Nationwide's machines are CE rated, and site surveys, risk assessments and method statements are readily available. As well as renting machines, Nationwide also has an extensive machine sales operation.

Aberdeen is one of five Nationwide depots in Scotland and is part of a network of over 50 depots in the UK. The company's parent group, Lavendon plc, also has depot networks in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Austria, France and Spain.
