NATIONWIDE'S PROMISE STOPS CUSTOMERS
RUSHING AROUND LIKE THE PROVERBIAL!

Nationwide, the UK's largest supplier of powered access equipment is out to prove a point about its superior all round capabilities. It plans to achieve this with an extraordinary guarantee of next day delivery on any boom lift up to 22 metres or any scissor lift up to 17 metres. If the company is unable to supply the chosen machine from its hire fleet, or substitute a unit with a higher specification to do the job, it will hand over a £100 rental voucher. The only qualification is that the order must be placed before noon the previous working day.

The campaign logo was designed to convey the state some hirers get into when they need equipment in a hurry - frantically chasing around in a state of panic like the proverbial blue xxxxx fly. Nationwide's aim is to take up the delivery challenge and, if necessary, do some rushing around of its own to meet the customer's deadline. The campaign commenced in September and runs until Christmas in every one of Nationwide's 50-plus depots spread across the UK.

Nationwide reckons that several of its key user groups will put the offer to the test. Companies working in the construction industry generally, electrical and mechanical contracting, factory maintenance and local authorities often find themselves faced with unforeseen challenges that need powered access quick-smart.

Sales and Marketing Director, Nichola Balmer comments: "I believe that this guarantee proves that Nationwide alone has the fleet, the national coverage and the commitment to meet every customer's need." She continues: "When Nationwide promises to deliver, it delivers, either with the product the customer has chosen, or in rare cases where that is not possible, one with an equal or higher specification."

Nationwide is part of the publicly-quoted Lavendon Group Plc and is headquartered in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Its hire fleet is twice the size of its nearest UK competitor and all of the company's depots comply with Nationwide's ISO 9002 accreditation. The Group is also a major player in the European powered access market, trading under the name Zooom in Germany, France, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
