Prior to taking up his position with Lavendon, Peter worked for IMI, first in business planning and then in human resources, before moving to BP Chemicals, SmithKline Beecham, NSK and Taylor Hobson. He has extensive HR experience across Europe, Japan and America.

Commenting on his appointment Peter says: "From my very short time at Lavendon it is clear that the company's growth and success has been greatly influenced by the skill and dedication of the employees. My task is to ensure that everyone is connected to what is happening in the business and how it is developing. My goal is to create the right environment and put in place the right structures and systems to achieve our business plans."

Peter completed a Degree in Business at Salford University, which was followed by a postgraduate qualification in personnel management from Manchester Polytechnic. A native of St Helens, Peter is married and has three boys aged nine, seven and five. He is based at the headquarters of Lavendon's Nationwide Access operation in Lutterworth.
