For powered access now read high-powered access! Nationwide has added two Honda Deauville 650 cc motorbikes to their fleet of scissor lifts and mobile telescopic booms. The bikes are custom sprayed in the company's colours and carry their logo.
The high-powered motorbikes are for getting surveyors on site quickly in the greater London area. And they have been proving a great success. Richard Stok, sales manager at Nationwide says, "With a bike we can get a surveyor on site anywhere in the London region within two hours. The surveyors are trained to assess a customer's needs and to note any height, width and weight restrictions required for their particular job. We can then allocate them the right machine."
Richard believes the bike surveyor has given his company the competitive edge. The surveyor works hand in glove with the sales manager. Following up on that first sales contact, the surveyor is able to get out on site without the added delay of London traffic or finding a place to park.
