A fleet of powered access platforms from Nationwide Access has installed the Christmas lights at Sheffield's Meadowhall shopping centre.
Chandeliers bedecked with gold and silver baubles were safely installed underneath the domes of the shopping centre by the UK's leading powered access company.
Over a two week period between 28 October and 10 November 2004, Nationwide Access got to work after the Centre had closed for the evening. Seven machines were used including two electric scissor lifts (X26 electric scissors), three boom lifts that can be powered by either electric or diesel fuel (G45 bi energy booms) and two diesel booms G60's, that could extend as high as 20 metres (60ft diesel booms).
A spokeswoman for Meadowhall Shopping Centre said they were delighted after another good job done.
"We've been working in partnership with Nationwide Access for a number of years to help install our Christmas decorations and we have an excellent working relationship with them. Christmas is obviously a peak trading period here at Meadowhall and we constantly strive to make the Centre as good as possible for our customers" she said.
