Nationwide Access, the UK's largest powered access equipment hirer, has taken delivery of nine 40 metre Genie S125 booms as part of a major investment that will see over 250 machines added to the UK fleet by May 2005.
"Demand for 100ft plus booms has been unrelenting for the past twelve months" said Harry Waters, Sales and Marketing Director for Nationwide Access. "Lead in times for hiring these specialist machines had been up to six months, with machine availability being one of our key offerings to our customers, we have responded by more than doubling our fleet of this machine type" he added.
The demand for these machines has been driven by the increased use and awareness of powered access equipment in the facilities management, telecommunications, signage, building maintenance and media markets, coupled with growth in the more traditional 'large boom' construction market.
