Nationwide Access has been instrumental in helping to light up the skies over Scotland; ensuring drivers in Dunfermline continue to have a clear, well-lit journey along the M90 motorway!
Nationwide Access, the UK's largest supplier of powered access equipment, was recently called in to help by specialist lighting company CU Phosco Lighting when vital maintenance work had to be carried out on high lighting masts along part of the route.
In order to complete the job, CU Phosco drafted in one of Nationwide Access's impressive 34m skylifts to give engineers access to the hard to reach masts.
CU Phosco was working in partnership with roads maintenance contractor Bear Scotland to refurbish the masts which are situated on the access roundabout off junction 3 in Dunfermline. The masts measure around 30m high and shed light on the motorway itself as well as the access roads.
Nigel Wells, Contracts Division Manager for CU Phosco, said: "We were working on parts of the high mast lighting unit to refurbish the frame and ropes and to extend the overall life of the equipment. Using the skylift enabled us to get right to the top of the mast units to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible."
