NATIONWIDE ACCESS INVESTS
TO SUPPORT T5 PROJECT
Nationwide Access, the UK's largest supplier of powered access equipment, has placed a £1.2 million order with Genie to purchase 200, GS-1932 electric self-propelled scissor lifts earmarked to support a number of customers and projects including Heathrow Airport terminal five.

Harry Waters, Sales and Marketing Director for Nationwide Access, commented: "The GS-1932 has always been a popular machine and terminal five will require huge numbers of small electric scissor lifts to complete the mechanical and electrical fit out. The compactness of the GS1932 makes it suitable for this job as much of the work is in confined spaces underground." Nationwide Access already has in excess of 130 machines working on the site and is expecting demand to ramp up sharply in the coming months.

This additional order from Genie means that Nationwide Access have purchased over 380 new machines from Genie this year and have boosted their fleet numbers by 500 machines during 2005.

Harry Waters added: "Of course Heathrow is not the only large project under development and it is critical that we can supply all our customers with the equipment they need. This significant investment that we are making in new machines will ensure continuous availability for everyone."

The majority of the lifts will be delivered within the next four months with the remainder of the order to be completed by September. Nationwide Access has a further option for 100 additional GS-1932s to be delivered in November.
