POWERED ACCESS EXPERTS PLACE NEW EMPHASIS ON ENVIRONMENT
Nationwide Access, the market leader in the UK powered access sector, has appointed Chris Wraith to the newly-created position of Safety, Health and Environment Advisor.

Chris, who is based at the company HQ in Lutterworth, Leicestershire has worked at Nationwide Access for the past eight years as a Training Instructor in machine operations and health and safety. He is currently studying part time for a degree in Health and Safety Management at Hull University and is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

In his new position, Chris will be responsible for all the health, safety and environmental concerns of the company across the UK. His responsibilities include everything from staff training to selecting environmentally-friendly and fuel-efficient machines for the fleet. His immediate priorities are to build on the excellent work done by the outgoing Health, Safety and Quality Manager David James. This involves raising awareness of safety with both employees and customers, and the continued incorporation of health and safety considerations into Nationwide Access' integral business processes.

As the issue of the environment continues to impact on all areas of industry, Chris's appointment reflects Nationwide Access' commitment to developing its policies and procedures in preparation to meet the requirements of future environmental legislation.
