NEW WORKING AT HEIGHT
                	REGULATIONS

The New Working at Height regulations state you must "make sure those working at height are competent". It is the responsibility of the operator's employer to ensure their competence and many neglect this duty. Working at height is an activity that has well-established procedures of good practice, which allow you to carry out work safely. If you are doing what good practice suggests, that will normally be enough to comply with the law. If you are not, action will need to be taken to bring all operators up to the required standard.

Nationwide can help minimise the risks by providing one of our instructors to train your operators up to the IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) standard. We have 29 training centres located around the country, including two new training centres that have just opened to serve business along the M4 corridor. This enables Nationwide Access to meet all your training needs, whether you are working in Glasgow, London or Cardiff. Nationwide Access also offers a service of coming to you, providing the facilities are adequate and you have more than one person to train.

For information on IPAF courses, training operators to the acceptable standard of the Working at Height regulations, visit the training section of our website, or call 0845 601 1032.
